Team - Spring Session

Oaktown Boulders is a proud participants in the NorCal Youth Climbing League (YCL) during both the Fall and Spring seasons.  We encourage all students enrolled in our Afterschool Programs to join the Oaktown Boulders Team and experience the excitement of competitive climbing in a supportive environment.

The NorCal YCL competitions provide a positive, low-pressure environment for students to push their limits, learn new skills, and build confidence. As coaches, we see firsthand how these events help climbers develop resilience, teamwork, and a deeper love of the sport. Competing helps students set goals and celebrate their progress—plus, it’s a great way for families to connect with the wider Bay Area climbing community! (League Info)

To join our Team and compete in YCL, please register for YCL in addition to Oaktown Boulders Team Registration.

YCL REGISTRATION & DETAILS

  • When & Where: Multiple competitions will take place across local climbing gyms this season.

  • Who Can Register: Ages 7+. Registration is currently open for Oaktown Boulders students and host gym members. Spots are limited and will open to the public soon, so please sign up early! Registration Link

  • Competition Format: There will be a mix of bouldering, top rope, and speed climbing at these competitions. All experience levels are welcome.

  • YCL League Fee: $220, includes all four official competitions; If you're interested in Financial Aid for YCL Registration, please contact YCL at climb@yobasecamp.com or (760) 933-2494.
  • Day Passes: $15 per competition, paid to the host gym

OAKTOWN BOULDERS TEAM REGISTRATION & DETAILS

  • Oaktown Boulders Team Fee: $200 / semester

  • Includes coaching at all the competitions, a team t-shirt, snacks, and equipment.

  • No Mock Comp for Spring Semester

 

 

OAKTOWN BOULDERS CORE BELIEF

Oaktown Boulders is committed to fostering a diverse and accessible climbing community. We aim to give every youth the opportunity to come participate in our lessons and programs. What this means for our programs is that a portion of the retail price goes to our Financial Aid Program to cover other students who are unable to pay full price. Your support of the gym also helps us in our goal to make this gym sustainable so that we can continue to serve everyone in our community- including our amazing coaches!
